Tracey Bailey has retained the mayoralty of Lakeshore, according to unofficial results released on Monday. The incumbent received 8,399 votes in the contest, securing a decisive lead over her opponents.
The race featured two challengers. Argo Pace accumulated 1,782 votes, while Sam Sinjari received 1,399. Bailey’s total vote count exceeded Pace’s figure by 6,617 votes.
Bailey campaigned on a platform centered on her 12 years of prior service, which included roles as a councillor, deputy mayor, and mayor. She cited a record of attracting approximately $100 million in investment to the municipality during the previous four years.
“Under my leadership we’ve seen tremendous investment in Lakeshore,” Bailey said. “We’ve pulled in around $100 million over the last four years, which is really significant.” She added that the administration is prepared to begin construction projects immediately upon her return to office.
Bailey described the outcome as a clear mandate from residents. She stated that the result validates the direction the municipality has taken and confirmed that voters support her continuing agenda.
Her stated priorities for the upcoming term include infrastructure investment, protecting housing affordability, and developing complete communities. The municipality continues to experience population growth, which Bailey identified as a key factor in her campaign platform.
