Tyrese Haliburton suffered a strain to his left hamstring and will sit out upcoming games for the Indiana Pacers. Sources told ESPN's Shams Charania on Wednesday that the point guard is sidelined, though medical staff have not yet set a specific return date.

Doctors and Haliburton are currently determining the timeline for his rehabilitation. The injury occurred shortly after he returned to the court following a long absence.

Haliburton missed 16 months recovering from a torn Achilles tendon sustained during the 2025 NBA Finals. He returned for the season opener and played in Indiana's first four contests. This included back-to-back appearances on Sunday and Monday.

After the Monday game in Milwaukee, Haliburton described his physical condition as feeling a little beat up. He was then listed on the injury report on Wednesday. In those initial games, he averaged 21.8 points, 9.5 assists, and 4.5 rebounds while shooting 52% from the field in 33 minutes per game.

The injury adds to a roster already burdened by physical setbacks. Four of the Pacers' five starters were listed on the injury report for Wednesday's match against the Philadelphia 76ers. Ivica Zubac was ruled out with a left ankle sprain, and Andrew Nembhard is questionable due to neck soreness.

Other key players are also dealing with health issues. T.J. McConnell has a right hamstring strain and has not played yet this season. Ben Sheppard tore his left meniscus, and Johnny Furphy underwent surgery on his right ACL. The Pacers finished last season with a franchise-low 19 wins after Haliburton was out for the entire year.
