Vanessa Trump, 48, said her recent test results came back clear, marking a zero recurrence rate six months after her breast cancer diagnosis. She shared the update in a short video posted to the Instagram account of her 19-year-old daughter, Kai, on Friday. In the clip, Trump stated that the clear results mean she is finally cancer-free. She has five children with Donald Trump Jr., the eldest son of President Donald Trump.
The announcement follows a timeline that began in April when Trump was first diagnosed. She made the diagnosis public in May, noting in a social media post that she had undergone surgery and was developing a treatment plan with her medical team. The current clear results follow that initial surgical intervention and subsequent monitoring.
Kai Trump wrote in the caption accompanying the video that the clip serves as a preview for a longer YouTube release scheduled for Saturday. That extended video will feature her mother and Dr. Nicole Saphier discussing breast cancer awareness and prevention. Kai noted that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a period dedicated to early detection and support for those affected by the disease.
The post generated more than 20,000 likes and hundreds of comments from followers offering support. Among those responding was American singer and media personality Mary Millben. Trump has been in a relationship with professional golfer Tiger Woods since last year, following her 2018 separation from Trump Jr.
The American Cancer Society reports that the average risk of a woman in the US developing breast cancer is approximately 1 in 8, or 13%. The disease accounts for 30% of all new female cancers diagnosed annually. Medical data indicates that surgery cures most breast cancers. In cases where disease remains, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and endocrine therapy can lower long-term risk. Treatment options continue to advance, including more targeted therapies for early-stage cancer and improved hormonal treatments.
The next major content drop is scheduled for Saturday, when the full video featuring Dr. Saphier will be released on YouTube. The release coincides with the final days of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
