The Minnesota Class 6A football regular season concluded Friday night with a mix of title deciders and late-game upsets across the East Metro.

Roseville claimed the Metro Maroon subdistrict title with a 24-14 victory over Coon Rapids. The Raiders finished the regular season with a 4-4 record, their best mark since 2017. Senior quarterback Chase Browning threw for 162 yards and three touchdowns. Browning described the win as an amazing feeling, noting that the team had worked hard for the result to finally pay off.

In the south metro, Lakeville South defeated Rosemount 17-14 on a 36-yard field goal by sophomore kicker Dylan Nelson with one second remaining. The last-second score gave the Cougars an upset win that complicates the seeding picture for the Class 6A playoffs in that region.

Centennial secured a likely No. 3 seed by beating Anoka 38-6. The result capped a season in which Anoka was held to single-digit scoring for the first time. Mounds View took the Metro East subdistrict title by defeating White Bear Lake 22-16. The Mustangs took the lead when quarterback Tanner Jude ran for a one-yard touchdown with 65 seconds left, followed by a two-point conversion. Preston Johnson intercepted a pass on the next possession to seal the win, while the Mounds View defense limited White Bear Lake quarterback Wyatt Stachowiak to six completions on 24 attempts.

East Ridge beat Woodbury 42-31 to close out a difficult season. Logan Tretter ran for two touchdowns, and Elias Mather returned an interception for a late score. Forest Lake running back Mack Jurkovich finished the season with 1,600 rushing yards, including 245 yards and two touchdowns in a 31-13 win over Stillwater. The result locks in a No. 2 seed for the Rangers. Jurkovich has committed to play at St. Thomas.

Park junior receiver Manny Vargas scored twice in the Wolfpack's 18-10 win over Eastview. He caught a touchdown pass and returned a punt 75 yards for another score.
