Caroline Hanna has released a new cookbook designed to reduce the mental strain of daily meal planning. The book, titled 'Hungry,' positions itself as a response to the exhaustion many people feel when deciding what to eat. Hanna is a British chef and nutritionist who focuses on both recipe execution and eating habits.

The publication contains more than 90 recipes that cover every meal from breakfast to dessert. Hanna argues that hunger should be viewed as a natural signal rather than a negative force. She writes that contrary to diet culture, hunger is not something to be feared. Instead, she advises readers to listen to their bodies and honor their physical needs.

The recipes emphasize balanced nutrition without requiring complex techniques. Hanna suggests adding protein and whole grains to salads to increase satiety. She also recommends incorporating healthy fats and complex carbohydrates into meals. The book encourages readers to include snacks and desserts, provided they are prepared with nutrient-dense ingredients.

One featured dish is a blueberry and banana pancake recipe that serves two people. The batter combines cottage cheese, rolled oats, eggs, and vanilla extract. Hanna notes that this blend supports stable blood sugar levels better than traditional pancake mixes. The recipe calls for blending the ingredients until smooth before cooking them in a nonstick pan with butter.

Another option is a tunacado bowl, which Hanna created to save money after years of purchasing similar meals at a London eatery. She stated that she could not justify the high cost of a simple tuna sandwich on a regular basis. The bowl features basmati rice, a tuna mixture with pesto and Greek yogurt, and avocado slices.

A third recipe involves sourdough turkey schnitzels served with arugula and potato wedges. Hanna developed this dish during her first trimester of pregnancy. She describes it as a comfort food that provided iron and tryptophan from the turkey. The potatoes offered the steady carbohydrates she craved during that period.

The cookbook is published by Hamlyn and is available now. It includes detailed instructions for each dish, specifying exact measurements and cooking times. Hanna aims to provide practical solutions for busy individuals who want to eat well without spending excessive time in the kitchen.
